Promises

Promises .. a very simple word and simple word to say,but how many people value it? How many people know how much promises mean and how bad it is to break them. We trust the people who makes the promise to stick to it, but do they think twice before breaking them. Most of the time they dont care when they do thinking that they wont loose a thing not really remembering that they would if we look at it from a religious point of view, but lets not go there.How many people would value the people to whom they are making the promises to? Would they think twice about how they would feel when they break the promise? ... what if it wasnt a little a promise and what if it was something big ... something like promising never to lie to them? wont they feel betrayed .. hurt .. disappointed .. angry .. ? the worse thing is breaking the promise and lying about it. Do people really think twice before they do such a thing? Why do they make it seem so simple .. as if its nothing? Another thing is repeating it over and over again .. knowing that they trust you. But this trust doesn't last forever .. wont it become hard for them to trust you no matter how much they want to? No one would want to go through the disappointment time and time again .. everyone looks for happiness in life though its a bit harder for some. When you finally realize how much the other person sacrificed for you .. it will be too late. Too late to get it back .. but even then, would you try to get one last chance?
